Question #5:
The USS Scorpion Tragedy ... Did The Soviets Sink Scorpion In Retaliation For Losing Submarine K-129 ...?
I'm thinking about the book "All Hands Down.Click Here
I bought it at a $1 store and it's a decent read ... and I want to know if you think there is some truth in it?
The Soviets lost K-129 1,560 miles off Oahu, Hawaii in the Pacific Ocean.
There are several ideas how the sub went down but I want to know what you think.
Did K-129 try to go rogue as some have proposed? Was it destroyed by the US? Missile explosion or some other reason similar to what happened to the Soviets Kurk?
Do you think the Soviets really believe the US destroyed their boat and responded by firing a torpedo at Scorpion thereby destroying one of ours for one of theirs?
I have read lots of information about it but like I said I want your opinions.
Thanks and thumbs up to all who answer ... just give me time to get back and read the answers (Im off to work and won't be back till later this evening)
Question #6:
Anyone know what these Bulgarian drinks are?
My sister owns a holiday apartment in Bulgaria, and she bought me back 3 bottles of alcohol, one of them is Rakia, I managed to find out what that is, but there are 2 others. One is in a glass bottle, the alcohol is green, and it says 'Mehta' on the label, and the rest of the writing I can't type because it's all in bulgarian. The other bottle is in a clear plastic bottle with a blue lid, the label has a boat in the sea on it, and says 'Macmuka' on it, and again, the rest of the writing is in Bulgarian. I would like to find out what this alcohol actually is rather than just open it and drink it. Any information on these will be greatly appreciated and 10 points for the best answer. :)Question #7:

WWF SmackDown Episode 1 Rate the Show. Is it good (Part 1 of 2)?
The first SmackDown! of the new millennium kicked off from Orlando, Fla., with security posted all over the O-rena. The guards were informed to arrest Mick Foley on the spot should he trespass that evening. In the DX locker room, Triple H said he was proud of what he had accomplished Monday night, winning the World Wrestling Federation Championship. But he was disappointed in his DX allies - X-Pac, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn - who had failed to defeat The Rock in the "You're Fired" Handicap Match. He promised punishments for each of the men; X-Pac would have to face the Big Show, Billy Gunn would have to face both Acolytes, and Road Dogg would get a special surprise. Triple H also said that he would defend his newly won championship against an opponent picked at random.
The Big Show, still steaming over his title loss Monday night, took out his aggression on X-Pac. The degenerate, who defeated the Big Show last week on SmackDown! due to DX's interference, was outmatched this time in a one-on-one environment. But luckily for X-Pac, the Big Show's temper got the better of him and the 7-footer chokeslammed the referee, ending the match.
Chris Jericho made his way to the ring with the other Intercontinental Champ, Chyna, telling her that teaming with her was a fate worse than death, and that he would do all the work against the Holly cousins. Indeed, Jericho tried to take on the Hollys all by himself, but after a spectacular variation of a suplex, Hardcore Holly pinned Y2J. The Intercontinental Championship belt, which came to the ring around Jericho's waist, left on Chyna's shoulder.
Continuing with the "Have a Bad Day" saga which began Monday night, "Mankind" made his way around Universal Studios in Orlando. He asked a kid if he wanted his autograph, but the kid started to cry and the kid's father asked "Foley" to go away.
Tori came into Stephanie's locker room and asked if she could use her bathroom. Stephanie said yes. Moments later, Road Dogg asked Stephanie where Triple H was, and Stephanie said the bathroom. Road Dogg peeked his head in the bathroom and saw Tori. Tori screamed as Road Dogg ran away, asking Stephanie why she lied to him.
In DX's next punishment, Billy Gunn took on both of the Acolytes. As the ass-kicking Faarooq and Bradshaw took it to the assman, Road Dogg made his way to the ring to even the odds. The match was thrown out as the two teams battled through the crowd, in a preview of their Tag Team Championship Match at the Royal Rumble.
Kane then confronted Stephanie, saying he wanted that "pervert" Road Dogg in a match, since Road Dogg had violated his girlfriend, Tori. Stephanie happily obliged. She then ruled that if Billy Gunn interfered in this match, he would be let go.
During the match between Kane and the D-O-double-G, X-Pac made his way down the entranceway, distracting the referee long enough to allow Road Dogg to score with a low blow and a DDT. But Kane rallied back, scoring with a chokeslam and a Tombstone for the pin.
"Mankind" continued his vacation at Universal Studios, boasting of his daredevil ways while on a boat ride. Saying he wasn't scared of anything, the imposter soon cowered in fear once Jaws attacked the boat!
Finally, The Rock came back to Orlando! His opponent? Kurt Angle, who was once again matched against a top talent at Triple H's behest. As Kurt made his way to the ring, he questioned why with all his accolades he wasn't the People's Champ. The Rock answered swiftly, telling the Olympic champ exactly where he could stick his medals. Steve Blackman made his way to the ring during the match, and when Rock grabbed Blackman's Kendo stick and whacked Angle with it, the referee called for the bell, keeping Angle's winning streak alive via disqualification. As Angle celebrated in the ring, Rock snuck up behind him and layed him out with the People's Elbow.
Stephanie promised the Dudley Boyz a bonus on Monday if they helped the Posse attack the Acolytes. They did so, and their bonus turned out to be a partnership with Al Snow, a gift which the Dudleys weren't too happy about. That trio took on Edge, Christian and Jeff Hardy. After a spear, Edge pinned D-Von.
Question #13:
I want to hear your stereotypes...?
About Wisconsinites! those are people from Wisconsin btw. IDK I'm from Wisconsin and my friends and I got into a discussion about this. It all started when my friend commented about all the bad drivers from Illinois she has seen when driving to and fro Madison. I'd have to agree with her on that. There are too many states to address specifically here so I will keep mine local to my area. PS feel free to talk about any number of states and your stereotypes for them, but I will be most interested about what you have to say about us :)my stereotypes:
-Illinois- Always seem to drive SUVs pulling a boat or they have a kayak on top of their car. Drive very fast and incourteous. They also like to complain that Wisconsin police pull them over for no reason just bc they are from Illinois when my experiences tell me that they were probably speeding.
-Minesota- Those from up north talk like Sarah Palin. Very clueless on the road. So they may seem incourteous but they are really clueless.
-Iowa- Farmers idk
well there's a bit of my state based stereotypes. I'm bad i know. OH YEAH PLEASE STATE WHERE YOU ARE FROM!!!!! no pun intended.

What's the name of this movie? (from the 80's I think)?
I used to watch this movie all the time when I was about 8 years old, so I'm thinking it's from the early to mid-80's. It was about a family (mother, father, and two children; I believe there might have been a grandfather there too) that were sailing (around the world maybe? can't be sure about that one) and there was a stowaway on their ship as well. There was a storm and their boat sank. They were marooned on a desert island.I don't remember much else about it, just a few little things, like how they used a tarp or some kind of plastic to collect water. I remember them singing and dancing at one point. I believe they found some kind of hut where someone else had been stranded on the island long before them as well. They were rescued in the end. It may have been a disney movie, but I can't be sure.
Not very specific I know, but that's all I can remember. I loved this movie and think about it from time to time still. Any ideas?
I seem to remember something about the word 'pelican.' Maybe in the title. hmm, I'll have to look it up and see if that gets me anywhere.
Question #18:
has anyone else seen the documentary on the abc?
i just saw the english documentary on the abc about the flotilla and what happened.it was amazing to see that someone on the flotilla had actually filmed the whole thing and handed it over....
the truth is that there were about 50 civilians on the flotilla who were peaceful and there for the right reasons and who in fact tried to help the israeli soldiers from being stabbed and beaten to death.....
but... the peaceful ones on the ship reported that in fact there were 40 people on the boat who once the boat started to sail showed them all the weapons they had brought and told them what they planned to do and that if they tried to interfere that they would be targets just like the israelis.
the film was filmed by people on the flotilla, it goes for about an hour and it clearly shows that all of the aggression came from these 40 people. the israelis had not discharged even one shot until these 40 people used knives and clubs on the first 2 soldiers and stole their guns and began shooting.
very interesting and also interesting that the people on board admitted that the boat had nothing to do with bringing food aid to gazans, but that it was all about bringing media attention to the blockade and the bigger the fuss they could make the more media attention they would get.
it was very very interesting that after the whole episode that the peaceful people on board actually used the word "terrorists" to describe the 40 who took control of the boat only kilometres from leaving from turkey.
to those who say it was edited.. the people interviewed were the "peace activists", they had the film and handed it to the bbc. they are the ones saying that there were terrorists on board not the israelis.
