Question: Is baggage claim secured at the Charles de Gaulle airport?

You cannot return to the arrival gate. You leave the secured area on the way to the baggage claim. Your best bet is to meet her at baggage claim. You will probably still be waiting on your bags when her flight lands anyways.

well, you may want to know more about the airport than your luggage. If so here are close to 100 people who rated the airport for dozens of categories including baggage and security. A rating under 2.5 for most baggage related categories, with 0 the worst and 5 the best.

As far as baggage security there are new international laws and France has a history of being a country that is easy to enter by anyone. I'm telling facts not opinion.
